Why Fast Never Finishes
We’ve all been running the race, to one degree or another.
The grand race to get through our day, our month, our year, our life, our race to death.
But Why?
When it all slows down, now that the brakes have been officially ordered, we can soberly see just how fast it was all really going. How fast the cars were driving, how fast the fast food was feeding us, how fast we were racing a race against each other, all to get to where?
We were a bustling, busy blur, strangely blanketed in boredom. The cease order can be ordered, but the application of slow has to be chosen. By You. By Me. By Us. The application of slow to your breath, to your breakfast, and to your bedtime. The application of slow requires the mind and body to slow the doing and start the noticing.
SLOW. The S is for stop, the L, for look, the O, for observe and the W for witness. Slow is not stagnant and slow is not suppressed. Slow is savory, stimulating and ultimately, slow is sovereignty. Slow is the direct access to self authority. Ironically, slow, is the fastest vehicle you can take to to a liberated heart.
Slow is the time machine to Now, the very place, we all should be in a race to get to. Settle, soften, soak, and slither all around the satisfaction of the Now, every single minute crevice of the Now. The look of it, the smell of it, the feel of it, the taste of it, the beat of it, the sweet heat of it. This intricate exploration is Everything. It’s the liberation of expectation, the gift to cease endless grasping, and the release of restlessness.
Somewhere along the line someone sold us fast and it was fueled with pills and lavish frills, with screens and machines, and with schemes dressed up as dreams. Fast: the F for fake, the A for artificial, the S for sneaky, and the T for tasteless.
Let us be finished with fast and start again with slow. Stop comparing, Look me in the eyes, Observe my fine details and Witness yourself arrive in the overflowing fullness of the Now.
Dear Sweet Souls meeting me here,
I am so honored and humbled to have met your acquaintance here; to know that you took the time to acknowledge and engage in my thought stream means the absolute world to me. I love that we can share energetic space and explore ideas, meanings, beliefs, and such, with each other. How beautiful that we can hear one another without necessarily having to agree and be more interested and curious about different perspectives than we are in judging different perspectives. It’s so damn refreshing.
May you be blessed.
May you gift yourself the fullness of this moment and experience the love that overflows from your heart.
I love you,
Andrea Dawn
