Are you Painting an OG or a Paint by Number?

This life-scape is your canvas and each breath, each hug, each compliment, each sincere gesture, and each soulful eye gaze that you paint onto it, is the creative expression of your masterpiece entitled: LIFE.

I’ve heard a great number of humans talk about how they don't have an artistic bone in their body. This is complete madness, for, every bone bone in our body is creation itself. It’s not that we lack creative bones, it’s that we’ve sold our bones and every other aspect of ourselves to our brains. Our brains, like Amazon, have assumed control over our experience. 

Rather than retrace and dissect all of the ways in which we have been numbed and dumbed, let’s focus on the opportunity of each and every moment to dance with the blue of the sky, and shine with the yellow of the sun, and gallivant with the green of the trees. For it is only in these infinite spaces that creativity is birthed as something completely original and brand new. 

Unlike the mind, creation cannot be diagrammed, or dialogued, or mapped, or understood. Any threat to constrict, control, or contrive this space is its’ own suffocation. Creativity will gasp for air in anything but pure “is-ness.” You absolutely cannot follow a paint-by-number to live your masterpiece, the same way you cannot subscribe to the vast number of agendas spiked into the kool-aid and served to us on the daily, at the bar of society.

Let us get creative about creativity, and consider our thoughts, words, and choices as the unlimited paint supply on our palette. And here’s the best part, we are given free reign to paint and re-paint however we so desire.

If your daily thoughts and words were recorded and summarized to you at the end of each day, what genre would the painting of your day fall into?

I want to paint layer upon layer of aligned interactions, soulful conversations, belly laughs, knowing smiles, winks, high fives, prayers, practices, offerings, gratitude, gratitude, and more gratitude, as the affectionate brushstrokes that compose my life. This kind of sincere intention is the gateway into the liberated space of creation. 

How will you paint yourself in this now moment?

Take care with your brushstrokes, highlight your smile and illuminate your goodness because you are the artist that has been chosen for this particular piece, called; Your Life.
