WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT AFTERDAWN YOGA:
“Yoga with Andrea feels both exhilarating and stable. You’re guaranteed to learn something new about your anatomy and your inner self. While also feeling supported in a consistent outline that feels genuine and new every time. As a yoga instructor myself, the traits that Andrea offers are rare to find in your average yoga studio. Andreas deep understanding of philosophy paired with her ability to make philosophy user friendly, truly exemplifies the word yoga/union. I have been practicing yoga with Andrea for over 8 years and have never been bored or uninspired during her class! Always a delight and always authentic.”
- Cynthia
“I go out of my way to schedule my yoga routine around Andrea's classes. Andrea has helped me grow in more ways than I even thought feasible, and probably more than she, herself, realizes.
I always leave her class and her presence lighter, happier, and with a stronger sense of who I am. She has such a beautiful light and it spills into her style of teaching. There is so much thought behind all of her classes and what she brings to each one. The effort is felt and deeply appreciated.
Our community is so fortunate to have a teacher so passionately giving us tools to better take care of ourselves and each other. I am forever thankful I get to learn from someone like Andrea.”
-Victoria Lasavath
“As soon as I met Andrea I knew how special and amazing she is & that I needed to be in her yoga classes. She is so connected to the purpose yoga has in our lives and not many get on this deep level in their practice. I can feel myself navigate situations differently, and I ask myself more often, "how does this make me feel?" I can see the practice working in my life outside of sessions. I love the mid session philosophies she includes, and they are such real life applications we can carry with us throughout our weeks!! Definitely the classes to be in! ♡”

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
It is always my deepest, most true intention to hold space for other humans to feel. To feel, whatever they are feeling and know that they are supported, loved, and free of all expectations. I aspire to cultivate and co-create an atmosphere of curiosity, engagement, and exploration. I do not believe it is my job to tell people what to feel or where to feel it, but rather to set up parameters for them to discover their own bodies and hold safe space for them to observe previously unobserved tendencies.
I ask questions, make suggestions, and offer invitations that might lead to a more clear recognition and in turn, a deeper understanding, of how the body, mind, and breath interact in relationships and are essential in creating their experience.
Through this authentic exploration, the potential discoveries are of an infinite nature. By intentionally choosing to spend time in this unknown space, people can realize their own power to make the necessary changes and refinements that will create harmony in their lives both, on and off the mat. This approach to teaching empowers people to take authority of their own practice and their own life.
Whether I am teaching an asana class, life coaching, holding a ceremony, or simply having a conversation, my intention is always the same. My intention is to be fully present, authentic, and of love. I believe that this practice alone is powerful enough to be a direct path to Spirit. The devotion to this practice is one of deep humility that in return gifts you with integrity, immense gratitude, and more love than you could possibly imagine.
My current mantra: Always be in Awe. And that is enough.
Blessed BE my sisters and brothers,
Andrea Dawn
